Matthew is a leading advocate of reforming capitalism, of impact-driven philanthropy, and of business playing a bigger role in solving global problems. He is the author of several influential books, including Philanthrocapitalism and The Road from Ruin. Matthew is also co-founder of the Social Progress Imperative and the #givingtuesday campaign.
Previously, Matthew was the official report author of the G8 Taskforce on Social Impact Investment, and was honored as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. He spent over 25 years as a senior editor and award-winning writer at The Economist.
