Assistant Professor, Accounting, Sprott School of Business, Carleton University
Kate believes accounting can change the world and save the planet. And she’s spearheading one of the largest projects ever to create a social impact measurement standard: the Common Approach Project. Funded by Employment and Social Development Canada, the project involves an all-star team of academics, data geeks, impact investors, philanthropists, charities, businesses and social enterprises. The project will put in place the data and measurement infrastructure so that socially- and environmentally-conscious consumers and investors can make good, informed decisions.
Kate has a bachelor of commerce (McGill University), an MSc in social policy and planning (London School of Business), and a PhD in business administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University).
