Janet Goulding

Assistant Deputy Minister, Employment and Social Development Canada

Janet brings over 25 years of public policy, program, and operational experience to her current role and is responsible for income security and social development. She provides leadership at the federal level on homelessness policy, volunteering, social innovation and social finance, community development and the Canada Pension Plan Disability program. Her portfolio is responsible for leading the development of social policies and programs that improve outcomes for vulnerable populations and communities facing social and economic challenges.

Janet has a BA with a major in law and a concentration in criminology from Carleton University. She also holds a certificate in public sector management and governance from the University of Ottawa.
