Chief Investment Officer, Fondaction
Geneviève Morin is Chief Investment Officer at Fondaction, a Québec labour-sponsored fund with $1.97 billion in assets. A leader in sustainable development, Fondaction collects retirement savings and invests them into Québec SMEs to create and maintain quality jobs while contributing to a stronger, fairer and greener economy.
After having held various positions at Mouvement Desjardins, Geneviève joined Fondaction when it started up, in 1996, first as Coordinator of Administration and Finance, becoming over the years Chief financial Officer and Head of Corporate Development until in 2011 she accepted her current position as Chief Investment Officer.
Geneviève sits on the boards of directors of Filaction, Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA) and Anges Québec. She is one of the governors of Réseau Capital, of which she assumed the co-presidency from 2010 to 2012. She has been a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee (since 2011) in addition to the Venture Capital Committee (since 2017) at Investissement Québec.
Geneviève has an MBA in Finance from HEC Montréal and, from Concordia University, a Certificate from the School of Community & Public Affairs and B.A. Honours in Economics.
